Hobby Airport is just 20 minutes away. This is the airport that Southwest Airlines uses in the Houston Area.
From downtown Houston head south on I-45 towards Galveston. Exit on Exit 15, continue straight through the light staying right onto FM 2004 that runs parallel to the dog track. Continue down FM 2004 for about 5 miles right through Hitchcock until you see four large concrete pillars on your left. The track is behind these pillars. About one half of a mile past Blimp Base Rd turn left through the gate beside the Grandsport Speedway sign. You are now on the site of Grandsport Speedway.
Johnson Space Center
Just a few seconds after the Saturn V rockets and Space Shuttles blast off in Florida the folks at mission control at Johnson Space Center take over control. We have all heard the famous statement “Houston we have a problem". Tour the Johnson Space center and see the actual room where that phrase was said! Along with many interesting displays you can see real astronauts practicing for their next space flight!

Just south of Houston towards Galveston Historic Grandsport Speedway is where John Mecom Jr housed and developed three of the five Grandsport Corvette* Racecars in the sixties. The GrandSports were built to compete with Carol Shelby's Cobras. Many famous racecars & race drivers drove through Mecom's Texas stables and motorsport ranch atmosphere. Grandsport Speedway was formerly a WWII Naval Air Station with a very rich and interesting history.
GrandSport Speedway is now our home track where all the Racing Adventures race school cars and racecar transporters are based. A Texas racing school! GrandSport Speedway has been constructed specially for high performance racing schools and track days. GrandSport Speedway has the very best to offer in driver and racer training and more on track days!
GrandSport has the smoothest surface, challenging corners and most technical track for any Texas race school. It is Houston's Road Racing Headquarters.
