Everything is always bigger in Texas and that is why Racing Adventures Driving School operate here!
Just south of Houston towards Galveston Historic Grandsport Speedway is where John Mecom housed and developed three of the five Grandsport Corvette* Racecars in the sixties. Many famous cars & drivers drove through Mecom's stables. GrandSport Speedway was formerly a WWII Naval Air Station with a very rich and interesting history.
This is now our home track where all the cars and trucks are based. GrandSport has been constructed specially for us. It has the very best to offer in driver training and on track fun!
Air Travel Convenience!
Hobby Airport is just 20 minutes away. This is the airport that Southwest Airlines lands at in the Houston Area.

Johnson Space Center
Just a few seconds after the Saturn V rockets and Space Shuttles blast off in Florida the folks at mission control at Johnson Space Center take over control. We have all heard the famous statement - :Houston we have a problem". Tour the Johnson Space center and see the actual room were that phrase was said! Along with many interesting displays you can see real astronauts practicing for their next space flight!

Kemah Boardwalk

Galveston Island and the Strand
Galveston Island was once the main ocean port for the United States and its world trade industry. With that New Orleans architectural flavor and many great seafood restaurants the island make for a few night of fun.

How to get to GRANDSPORT SPEEDWAY:
From downtown Houston take the I 45 south towards Galveston to exit 15 to Hitchcock. Stay on the service road beside the freeway. Stay right beside the dog track. Continue south on this road and go straight through the traffic light in Hitchcock and over the railroad track. Continue about 1 mile on this same road.(FM2004) You will see four huge concrete pillars on your left. Turn left on the south side of those pillars onto Blimp Base Road past the old building with razor wire and travel a short distance past the rest of the buildings and into the facility. You will see some warning signs that say official business only. You are there on official business. There you are!
